Cole Rosengren Memories

Andy was my manager at Industry Dive during an eventful time for my professional and personal life. He was always kind, thoughtful and supportive.

One of the biggest examples was when Andy stepped in to support me during a major industry conference. We were in the midst of staff turnover on the team and suddenly I was going to be the only one attending this event in Las Vegas. Andy, on short notice, decided to fly out and join me. This really meant a lot and I enjoyed getting to know him more during that trip.

Shortly after that event my first son was born. Andy was especially supportive and offered plenty of helpful parenting advice in the months and years ahead.

Even after Andy wasn’t my manager we kept in touch online or when I was visiting D.C. My wife also got to meet Andy at one company party and still fondly remembers his kindness.

The last time we talked was in early 2025. I’d recently taken on more responsibility at work and now had the same title as Andy did when he was my manager years ago. Andy, as usual, had helpful insight about the job and was very supportive. I recently made a note to follow up with him soon and of course now it’s too late.

As coworkers were sorting through old photos they found one of me and him together at a company event years ago. I’ve printed this out to keep in my office and will miss him greatly.
